"TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN!

The Austrian Vienna based author/journalist Rainer Himmelfreundpointner is launching a world wide media project.
This venture in theory shall involve more or less every soul on this planet up from the age round 15.
Its outcome will be documentated and published in various formats – print, audio, video, online.
Therefore extensive participation is vital.
And it is easy. The project is about one simple question:


WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?
Remembering 9/11


Abstract:
In fall 2011 the whole world will remember the terror attacks of 9/11 ten years before.
The thesis of this project states that nearly every person over the age of some 15 years old knows where he or she has been and what he or she was doing at this particular moment.
The goal is to collect and document these stories in order to give evidence for something like a form of global rememberance of human mankind.
So whoever wants to participate in this project can easily send his/her story to the mail-adress shown below.
Rainer Himmelfreundpointner and an editorial team will structure all contributions (by date, country, chosen version of media etc.).
There will be no editing unless required by libal laws.
As of now we think the appropiate deadline should be beginning of summer 2011.
This would leave enough time to prepare all contributions for publication shortly before 9/11-2011.

We are convinced that there should be no limits in terms of how a person wishes to submit a „Where have you been?“ story. Every format is welcomed:
• text
• audio file
• video file
As for publication we consider the following variations at this early stage of the project:
• permanent online blog for text, video, audio
• articles & books
• radio & TV-shows
• installations (e.g. at Ground Zero)
• in house networks (companies, organisations etc.)
• maybe mobile solutions
We are hungry for additional ideas.

This is a private initiative of Rainer Himmelfreundpointner.
He is funding it with his own money or via sponsorship.
No Military. No Intelligence Services. No US. No EU. No Taliban.
It is only an experiment of a Global Media Project.
There will be no violation of your privacy rights.

In order to prepare all contributions for publication we think it would make sense to require some basic informations:

• first name
• family name (if you wish)
• age
• profession/occupation (if you wish)
• country/city
• local time when you got the news of 9/11
• source of information
• your picture (if you wish)
• your CV (if you wish)
• language: english (if possible)

This is it.
It is easy.
It is creating a global community.
It will hopefully become a world wide meda project.
It is not a gonzo-kind-of-thing.
It is serious.
It is about humanity.
It is about decency.
It is about the state of the world (in a way).
