ams (SIX: AMS), a leading worldwide manufacturer of high performance sensor and analog solutions, has issued a promissory note in the amount of EUR 175.5 million which will increase the company's financial flexibility to support the future development of its business. Given positive investor demand the transaction size was raised to EUR 175.5 million from an originally lower amount.
Benefitting from a supportive market environment, ams decided to issue its first promissory note in order to complement other financing options. With Commerzbank AG and Erste Group Bank AG acting as lead arrangers ams placed the transaction amount with European and Asian financial institutions. The amount raised is split into two fixed and variable interest tranches, each comprising 5- and 7-year term portions.
